Samsung Galaxy S8 all but confirmed in leaked photos

Samsung’s Galaxy S8 isn’t slated to launch until March 29, but according to two separate leaks, we now know how the Galaxy S8 looks. First, we have a tweet from Evan Blass with a render of the Galaxy S8. Then we have BGR with photos showing multiple angles of the phone. It’s not uncommon to see leaks like this, but having so many clear pictures is bizarre.

Either way, the Galaxy S8 features a 3.5mm headphone jack, USB-C, an extra hardware button, and a gorgeous edge to edge display. What I don’t see is the fingerprint reader which is typically on the front of Galaxy phones. Unless Samsung moved the phone to the rear or have hidden it on the front, the extra side button could be the fingerprint reader.

Galaxy S8 leaks show USB-C, a headphone jack, and an edge to edge display

The Galaxy S8 isn’t set to launch for another 3 to 4 weeks, but we have a clear picture of what Samsung is doing. They’re building on top of the Galaxy S8 Edge with the curved edges. It’s an almost bezel-less display, similar to the LG G6 launch at MWC. We’ll keep an eye out for the specs to leak out in the coming week.

The model appears to be an AT&T unit with DirecTV and other AT&T services preloaded. The phone isn’t in English, but the fact Evan leaked the phone at the same time confirms the BGR leak. The photos show all the angles expect from the back of the phone. We don’t know if there is a dual camera or just a single camera.

Another important note is the phone is the Galaxy S8 and not the Galaxy S8 Plus. Overall I’m excited for the phone, and the move to bezel-less displays. Tell us in the comments below what you think about the Galaxy S8!
